More about the "My body" series

This body of work has its origins way back to my student days. It was while on the John Kinross scholarship in Florence in Italy 1998 with the Royal Scottish Academy that I made an image that would bring back ideas I was experimenting with at that time in my life, and again as my life in London took a sharp turns and changed. My search for images at various points in my life always lead me back to this thing that I understood and experienced on my residency in Italy and at this time an overlap with the "Church yard" series began to become something more.
