More about the "Theatre-land" series
The junction of Shaftesbury Avenue and Charing Cross Road always stuck me as a unique intersection, with the Palace theatre as the backdrop. This theatre is soon to be re-named the Dame Judy Dench Theatre. It is always an incredibly busy intersection but if you stay a short while you get glimpses of extraordinary characters sailing across it. Theatre people, locals and tourists. It is one of those places in London that has its own kind of magic. This extents up the Old Crompton Street where the theatrical feel of the place has excitement and unpredictability.
