More about "The Yard bar" series

A favourite haunt of mine during the 23 years I lived in London. A cosmopolitan and dynamic space with an outdoor garden that you could smoke in. Although I visited this establishment a few times a year from 2001 on I did not start making drawings there until about 2017. I worked on this series until Covid put a stop to my working in this way in 2020. This part of London, Soho, is unique in that it right next to the theatre district and has a diverse and eclectic neighbourhood of bars and entertainment venues. A hive of activity and frequented by both locals and tourists.
