This image is inspired by my frequent walks to Canary Wharf in London. Its an extraordinary place surrounded by the river Thames. Across the water lies the Greenwich Maritime museum and Observatory. The mythology and history of the place is tangiable and I tried to reflect these ideas of time technological and human advancement in this image.

Mythical being 5 is the fourth work of Gordon's that I've aquired, and as soon as I saw it on his website knew that it would perfectly finish a room project that I've been working on.
I find Gordon's use of colour sublime, and the subject here is framed by the blue of a sumner sky or sea as it falls backwards.
Is this a fall from height and grace like Icarus, or something forced backwards in defeat or ecstacy or both?
'Being at the edge of the city' is the third work that I've bought from Gordon.
I was looking for a large, abstract print for my living room but hadn't seen anything that resonated with me. Gordon's surreal, dreamlike 'Being' beautifully realised in flat colours grabbed my attention as soon as I saw it on his website. The physical print was a joy to behold and I saw details in it hadn't been obvious on my phone screen.
'Young man in the garden' is the second of Gordon's prints that I have bought and as a new collector of his work I was interested in a variety of his styles.
The block colours and line work give a wonderful sense of freedom and light; as the observer you have suddenly witnessed another person's moment of abandonment and joy.
As soon as I first saw 'Ginger boys with blue lupins' I was charmed by the sensitivity and sensuousness of Gordon's work. The composition and use of colour infuses a simple scene with a nostalgic longing. For me this image is much more than a decorative piece; it connects me to another man's vision.
I bought a signed print and the quality and colour reproduction is fantastic.
