This image is one of the first paintings I made for the "In the garden series". In this work I continue many of the themes I began to explore in the "Mythical beings series" and is a testament to our relationship to the natural world around us and our own natures as human beings. A desire to belong to nature but also to control it, to exercise some sort of containment and authority over it and in so doing modulate our own animalistic natural behaviours.
